Flood Zone Review

The Federal Emergency Management Administration is in the process of updating their Flood Insurance Rate Maps. FEMA has made significant changes to these maps. The Town of Dennis and our neighbors are working to ensure town residents are informed of these changes.

The Town of Dennis Planning Department is coordinating this local review. We have provided the link below so you can review the maps on your own. If you have questions give us a call at (508) 760-6119, we will call you back if we miss your call. You can also email me directly at dfortier(at)town.dennis.ma.us or by posting a comment to this post. If you want to come by the Town Hall Annex we have a self-serve computer in the lobby. If you need more personalized assistance, we encourage you to stop in between 9 a.m. and noon. We apologize for not being able to dedicate more hours to hands on assistance, but it has become increasingly difficult to complete our other projects.

The New Preliminary Flood Maps have been incorporated into the Dennis online GIS maps. These maps can be found at the following link:

When the map loads, click FIND on the left side of your screen. You can then search by your Assessors Map and Parcel number or by your street name followed by your street number. After finding your property be sure to select the LAYERS tab to get the key that shows what these colors mean.
