Monday night’s Planning Board meeting will begin the review of the Northside Marina site plan. At the meeting the Planning Board will learn, for the first time, from the owners of the marina about the existing layout of uses on the site. This is only the beginning of the process. The site plan discussion will rely on a number of inputs that still need to be generated or happen. For instance, the property has an agreement with the Dennis Fire Department that relates to providing both on-season and off-season emergency vehicle access to the property. This access plan needs to be placed onto any “existing” condition site plan. As there are differences in how the site is configured during the summer and winter, two separate “existing” condition plans are called for.
So, Monday night the discussion will begin. The owners’ representative will present the site plan to the Planning Board. The Board will have an opportunity to ask questions. After that, there will be an opportunity for public comment. The discussion will then be continued to allow the completion of the September 30th Zoning Board of Appeals actions and for the owner to make any necessary changes that comes out of the meetings on the 23rd and 30th.
To discuss the future of the site, the Planning Board needs an understanding of what exists. Monday night will start that process.
