Lose Home, Rebuild, Repeat: Coastline House Cost Federal Government $750K Over 40 Years | WGBH News

Two points regarding this story from WGBH:

1.  In Dennis we adopted a modification to the Building Height measurements last May to promote elevating homes in the flood zones. This past year we have had several people take advantage of this new standard. We hope that this zoning change will encourage many more people to flood proof their flood zone homes.

2.  For the past several years I have been trying to attract people interested in pursuing use of Federal Pre-disaster Mitigation funds to elevate structures. I need to have a decent number of properties in a single neighborhood to make it work. Still looking, West Dennis and Dennis Port seem to be the best target areas. Send me an email and we can talk about what would be needed.
