Climate change: A high price to pay – CCT

Just one little quibble with today’s story, for Dennis the chart on “properties” added to the flood zone underestimates the nature of the problem. Many of the properties added to, or with the extension of the flood zone, in 2014 were properties with multiple structures. Through matching our Assessor’s records with the flood maps, we find that over 4,000 structures were added to the flood zone in 2014, bringing our total to well over 5,000 structures now at risk in a 1% (100 year) flood.
